This presentation explores the principles of size-inclusive care and examines how weight-centered approaches can contribute to delayed diagnosis\, barriers to treatment\, and poorer health outcomes. \nParticipants will learn how to recognize and reduce weight bias\, incorporate evidence-based size-inclusive practices into clinical work\, and create affirming treatment environments that support recovery for clients of all body sizes. \nOBJECTIVES | \nDescribe the impact of weight stigma and size bias on the identification\, assessment\, and treatment of eating disorders. \nDifferentiate between weight-centered and size-inclusive models of care\, including the principles of Health at Every Size® (HAES) and weight-neutral treatment approaches. \nApply practical strategies to promote size-inclusive\, culturally responsive\, and recovery-oriented care in clinical practice\, including the use of inclusive language\, equitable assessment practices\, and bias reduction techniques.
