Jamie Guerra, PsyD,
Postdoctoral Psychology Fellow
Jamie works primarily with adults, facilitating DBT groups and as an individual therapist for Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient and Emotional Overeating Program patients. She is also responsible for insurance utilization and review documentation and meetings and clinical supervision as needed.
Jamie earned her BA at Boston University, then continued her education at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor earning her Master of Arts in Counseling. She earned her Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University in Los Angeles. Jamie was trained extensively treating diverse, underserved populations with dual diagnoses and severe mental illness in Los Angeles, California in psychiatric hospital settings, outpatient clinics and in academic settings. She has also completed EMDR training.
Jamie’s approach is holistic and culturally sensitive. She applies appropriate evidence-based interventions for her patients.
Jamie enjoys being a part of each individual’s healing journey. Her goal is to empower those she works with to use the tools they learn during their time with her.
