Sharon Bolin, LCSW, MSW
Therapist, Emotional Overeating Program
Sharon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing group and individual psychotherapy for clients in the Emotional Overeating Program. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Louisiana State University and a Master of Social Work from UTSA. Sharon also spent 10 years in the US Air Force on active duty and in the reserves. She has worked with patients in a variety of community settings, including intensive outpatient settings for people with chronic mental health conditions and at the South Texas Veteran’s Health Care System as a Palliative Care Social Work Fellow. Sharon is a highly trained group therapist who is past president of San Antonio Group Psychotherapy Society. She is a graduate of the William Alanson White online Intensive Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program and is an integrative therapist, using CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and interpersonal modalities to help patients lead fulfilling lives.
Sharon feels that the mantra “Esperanza is Hope” is evident in groups at Esperanza. She sees a deep commitment from the entire team to provide the space, the tools and the support for recovery to happen.
