Dahlia Stone, RD, LD
Director of Emotional Overeating Program
Dahlia is the program director for Esperanza’s Emotional Overeating program. She has experience with clients of all ages with a variety of diagnoses including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). She holds a bachelor’s in science in Dietetics from Texas State University and completed her dietetic internship at Gulf Coast Dietetic Internship. She has developed a special interest and expertise in binge eating disorder since joining Esperanza in October 2019.
Dahlia uses a non-diet approach that incorporates principles of intuitive eating and health at every size (HAES). With her knowledge of nutrition science, evidenced-based research, and experience with eating disorders, she provides individualized, compassionate care to every client. Dahlia helps patients understand the nutritional and behavioral concepts that form the foundation of making peace with food and finding joy in movement.
Using the HAES and intuitive eating lens, Dahlia enjoys supporting clients to feel empowered in the process of appreciating and listening to their body’s needs. Overall, she is happy to be a part of a multidisciplinary team of experts who work together to develop the best treatment for each client.
