Alejandra Garza works with adult patients in the PHP/IOP and the BeFree (Binge Eating Program) programs at Esperanza. She is an individual therapist, facilitates groups, and supports patients as they plate and eat therapeutic meals.

Alejandra graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology and an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Texas at San Antonio. She has experience working with psychological trauma with the domestic violence population.

She utilizes person-centered, feminist approach, existential, DBT and CBT modalities and is a certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist. Alejandra creates an environment of trust and understanding in sessions and goes alongside patients in their therapeutic journey.
