Isabella Nieto, LPC-A, is a mental health counselor dedicated to supporting people heal their relationship with food, movement, and body. She specializes in treating adults and adolescents with eating disorders and body image concerns using evidence-based treatment in our PHP/IOP settings. In addition, Isabella treats athletes in recovery from eating disorders, helping them explore and heal their relationship with their sport and related concerns.

She attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she earned her B.A. in Political Science. She went on to earn her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UTSA, gaining diverse clinical experience through internships in private practice and university settings. During her training, Isabella worked with collegiate athletes at UT Health Science Center, supporting them in injury recovery, sport/life balance, disordered eating, and mental skill training. She also provided individual therapy at a local private practice, addressing a range of mental health concerns. Her experience dovetailed into a passion for working with adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders, leading her to serving the population at Esperanza Eating Disorder Center.

Isabella integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviors Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to empower clients in creating a recovery journey that feels meaningful to them. She believes in meeting clients where they are, fostering self-compassion, and helping to develop skills that support long-term change. Isabella approaches sessions with a warm and collaborative style, striving to create a supportive space where clients feel understood and empowered on their path toward recovery.
