“What Goes Into a Well-Weight?”
Presented by: Sarah Nichols, RD, LD, CEDS
and
Susan Mengden, PhD, CEDS-C

This presentation will provide insight into the processes that Registered Dietitians use to assess an individual’s well-weight throughout the lifespan. We will also discuss how weight stigma and weight bias influence clinical collaboration with dietitians in determining well-weight.

The aim of this presentation is to advocate for:

  • The role of the Registered Dietitian in eating disorder treatment
  • Appropriate well-weights to be established by a dietitian
  • And to challenge weight-based biases in assessing and setting well-weights
