Dessimber has worked in mental health nursing for her whole career and with eating disorder patients since 2014. She provides medical monitoring and nursing support for adults and adolescents in the PHP and IOP programs. Dessimber has been performing the critical responsibility of tracking CDC and state best practices recommendations and drafting infection control protocols for use during the pandemic.

Dessimber loves working with eating disorder patients because treatment is based on a holistic approach to nursing. “I deal with a patient’s physical health while having the privilege of seeing their mental health improve,” she commented.
