Paul Campbell, LMFT
Staff Therapist

Paul is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who provides therapy for individuals, couples, and individuals with their families at the PHP and IOP levels of care. He works in both the adult and adolescent programs. Paul also facilitates self-compassion and process groups and co-leads a multi-family DBT group at Esperanza. He has experience helping patients with a diverse range of issues including, but not limited to, addiction, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem, and trauma.

Paul earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University and a Master of Arts in Couple and Family Therapy from Alliant International University in Irvine, CA. He has worked in several addiction recovery programs in California and has volunteered his time to help the homeless population.

Paul’s approach to therapy is personalized to each patient and may include elements of cognitive behavioral, internal family systems, mindfulness-based, humanistic, and existential approaches. Paul believes that therapy should be accessible to everyone and is committed to meeting patients wherever they are to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for their journey to begin. Paul finds being able to walk with families through the pain that they carry into Esperanza and witnessing the transformation to hope, freedom, and happiness to be the most rewarding part of his job.
